Heart... BeatFeburary 2006 One evening this year in Antwerp I saw a cardiac ambulance stopped on the side of the road with it`s lights flashing, at first I thought it was a car accident, but there were no other cars around. My boyfriend explained to me that probably someone was fighting for their life in that ambulance, considering it was so close to the hospital and it was so urgent they couldn't make it around the corner. That evening I had a nice dinner with friends and I was going home and watch a movie, it really made me think about the world and how different people experience the same day differently. It`s insane to think about the sorrow a death brings to a family, or the joy a birth brings, but these things happen to people every day in the world... people just live their lives every day and days go by and mean nothing much to them. But every day is someone`s birthday, every day someone mourns the loss of a loved one... It amazed me to think about it... that day was the same as any other day for me, but for someone else it was the day their daughter was born, or the day their father died... they will never forget that day... and now i will never forget that. |
