A sad damaged mermaid.

Over the past couple of months hilary has been taking a break from painting to move location to a new home and studio just outside Antwerp.

Upon returning to work on her mermaid for Antwerp, she made the shocking discovery that someone had painted on it while it was in storage.

With the amazing help of Sun Mee Horemans from the Stad Antwerpen, the painting has now been transported to hilary's new home where she is working frantically to restore and complete the painting in the way that she initially envisaged.

It is dissapointing to witness such a lack of respect shown for the work she is doing to create this painting as a donation to the city of Antwerp.
