A mermaid for Antwerp.

The city of Antwerp has commissioned hilary to create a wall painting in time for the summer sunshine.

The painting will feature a mermaid, in an ode to the building's history as a tavern called 'Zeemeermin' in the middle ages and to the long relationship that Antwerp has shared with the sea.

hilary started working on this huge scale work this weekend and we provide you with a sneak preview of the progress so far! These five turquoise panels will fit together to create the largest work hilary has undertaken until now.
